So I purchased EBC "red stuff" ceramic pads and Powerstop drilled and slotted rotors and changed fluid too synthetic for a little upgrade and cool looks. My wheels are a mess w tons of dust! 7000 mi (so much for little dust w ceramic). If done properly, and with care, slotted and drilled rotors can be machined. Are cross drilled and slotted rotors worth it? Given the choice between drill holes and slots, the drill holes will give you better braking power over slots for normal city/highway driving. This is why high end BMW, Porsche, Corvette, and Mercedes rotors are drilled.
